In France, it’s illegal for supermarkets to throw out edible food. Instead, it has to be donated to food banks. I’d like to see other countries follow their lead. So much food is being wasted because of sell-by dates, surely at the end of the day before stores close, the food should all be collected and distributed to the homeless or to shelters for the homeless Supermarkets need to be proactive and look for food that is close to the expiry date and then call the Outlander 05th Anniversary 2014 2019 signatures shirt organization to distribute to the homeless and less fortunate. In this way, there is less wastage. This is the same Tory government that scrapped the nursing bursaries while our NHS is ridiculously understaffed, making it more financially difficult for nurses to qualify. And the same Tory government that will allow them to work here, but charge them to use the very same service they are supporting.

Offer pay that reflects the skills and training needed for the roles advertised. In no other profession would training, courses, and experience not be rewarded with a pay rise at least in line with inflation. People are leaving the profession as the pay doesn’t match the rising cost of living and the level of responsibility expected. I trained without bursary as from the Outlander 05th Anniversary 2014 2019 signatures shirt Islands I was treated as an international student so I had tuition fees. It was HARD financially. I can completely understand why people aren’t training. How about training more of our own youngsters for free with the condition they work for the NHS for a number of years and if they don’t they then have to pay for the training.

Nobody has the interest to come to a country that will face, in case of Brexit, decades of poverty. This must be clear! It’s not the sunny weather that attracts people from abroad, but the prosperity instead. why not ensure that there are adequate numbers of training places and financial support to enable people to embark on these careers and conditions of employment that help retention of staff. I have worked with amazing health professionals from all over the world but Britain needs to support its own also in skill acquisition Good luck with “attracting” anyone to come & work in this country after the recent sham. I’m a British Nurse & have worked with many colleagues of various nationalities over the last 25 years. The answer is not simple & it’s not just about training & recruitment-it’s also about retaining staff both in the NHS & health & social care systems.
